It was founded by researchers in the Dept. of Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan and is based in Ann Arbor.
Mehrzad Samadi, Ph.D. University of Michigan, is the CEO of Parabricks. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2014. He has pioneered several technologies to accelerate software by orders of magnitude. His work has been recognized by more 20 conference and journal papers. He has received numerous awards, including the Young Innovator Award, the I-Corps top team award, the Towner prize, and the MICRO Best Paper Award. He has also worked as a researcher at Microsoft research.
