Mi Padrino is a moderating organization specializing in the crowd-gifting events for the global Hispanic event market. The company offers a reliable alternative to traditional means of padrinos (financial sponsors) and promotes traditional Latin American cultural celebrations such as Quinceañeras, weddings, Tres Años and baptisms. Offering both a B2C and B2B revenue model, Mi Padrino has solved a huge problem for the Hispanic people yet has given national and local businesses an opportunity to capture the attention of the fastest growing demographic in the US.
Update - Year 1:
Mi Padrino has been growing exponentially since its launch in June 2017, blowing a year-end user goal of 600 out of the water, with actual users totaling 50,000! Founder Kim Gamez won $50K at a female pitch competition in Upstate New York in October '17, and just a few weeks later went on to win $100K at Accelerate Michigan's Innovation Competition! Mi Padrino was featured nationwide on the cover of Quinceanera Magazine this Spring, and is excited to announce that Carley Roney, Founder of TheKnot, has joined the team as a mentor/advisor. Mi Padrino recently closed a Series Seed investment led by Astia Angels, and is currently part of the Desai Accelerator in Ann Arbor. The company has many strategic partnerships in the works, is building features that will allow growth into Mexico, and is on track to hit 500,000 users this year!
