Detroit Development Fund is a non-profit organization and a certified community development financial institution formed with a mission to assist in the revitalization of economically distressed areas in the city of Detroit. Detroit Development provides loans and technical assistance to small business owners, developers, building owners, contractors, and subcontractors who are unable to acquire certain levels of capital necessary from traditional financing sources. Skandalaris Business Plan Competition
University (and high school) students compete in separate categories for a chance at thousands in prize money, with the top three placers presenting their plans at the Sesi Entrepreneurship Conference in February. All EMU students are eligible to compete and we happily accept plans that are part of a group project for class.
