Pitch Pit Competition

Selected entrepreneurs will each give a four-minute pitch of their business plan to a panel of investor judges in a “Shark Tank” format.  PowerPoint slides are not permitted. Think of it as the proverbial “elevator speech.”

After all of the pitches are completed, the judges will give detailed feedback. At the end of the evening, the person with the highest score will receive the opportunity to receive a Business Readiness Assessment coaching session with New Enterprise Forum coaches. Participants

Anthony Bird with Culturebie, a people analytics platform that allows organizations to collect and analyze employee feedback in real-time through surveys. Judges

Christopher Hart, CEO & Cofounder at gBeat.com. An experienced software developer turned entrepreneur, Chirstopher has leveraged 20+ years of co-founding and leading a software company to his current career leveraging technology for enhancing healthspan, a journey that intertwines a deep-rooted passion for lifelong fitness, nutrition, and sleep with the transformative power of tech.

Jacquelene Barnes is a native Detroiter and a dedicated mother of two. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and French Studies from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and an MBA with a focus on Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, Jacquelene works as a Program Manager on the Growth Capital Team at TechTown Detroit.

Ben Chutz offers 15 yrs in growth-centric leadership roles across sales, marketing, customer, operations, and data analytics, including co-founding 2 SaaS companies (B2C and B2B) that were acquired. Now at Impact Initiatives, Ben partners with impact-driven founders and leadership teams at early-stage SaaS companies and tech-forward nonprofits to accelerate growth and minimize risk.
